Welcome to Nostalgic Mementos, my hope it so share my vintage and antique finds, their history and how I incorporate them into my house.  I also will share some of my other passions,  decorating my house, photography (I'm very much an amateur but hope to learn more) and fashion.  

I have always loved anything old,  I always wanted to know everything about its history, who owned it and what its purpose was.  I was one of those kids who loved museums when everyone else was bored to tears and fascinated with Antiques Roadshow.   I even majored in Art History in college. 

It's so nice to see lately a resurgence of vintage, antiquing and love of handmade items through shows like American Pickers and websites like Esty.  I think we can learn so much from the history of items that have survived for decades, even hundreds of years.
